Michael Hennessy

Michael Hennessy served as Oneida County Legislator District #2 for three terms (2006–2011). Michael was the minority leader and a member of the Ways and Means Committee, along with serving one term as the City Commissioner of Sherrill, NY.

Michael was raised in Sherrill, New York and still resides there today. He attended Vernon Verona High school and graduated from Herkimer County Community College.

Michael continued his education at Niagara University and began his career in the financial sector at First Federal Savings bank.

Michael is also a member of the Vernon Rod and Gun Club and a former member of the Lions Club and the Shriners.

Today, Michael works as a financial consultant with his own firm. Michael loves to spend time with his daughter, Carol Hensel and son in law, Gereme Hensel, his grandson Colin Hensel, his son Joseph Hennessy, his wife Anne Marie Hennessy and his dog Bo.

Now more than ever he is committed to bringing necessary change to Oneida County.
